Early LifeBorn on Little Rock, Arkansas in 1880 Douglas Macarthur was the son of a Army captain. Douglas was born into a strong military family. Macarthur soon graduated from west point as juniour officer. his early military career was filled with promotions and deployments to Mexico. Though in 1941 Macarthur was sent to philippines to fight against Japanese forces soon that same year Macarthur and his forces stationed on the island were driven out of the country and into underground bunkers.
In 1945 after many successful attack on the japanese, Macarthur was appointed supreme allied commander and placed in charge of making the deal of tokyo's surrender he then stayed in Japan to oversee how the economy and policies of the country were doing |
